Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

DUI court date

i was arrested for a potential DUI (VC23152 a/b) however my BAC from my blood test came back 0.07% I did not attend my court date because i thought that due to my test results i no longer needed to. Was i supposed to attend my hearing even though i did not have an alcohol level of 0.08% or more?

Re: DUI court date

Now that you are a fugitive with an arrest warrant, what did you learn from this?

Your 0.07 blood test didn't automatically make the serious criminal charges against you disappear like magic pixie dust.

The DA still wants to put your butt in jail.

You need to get a lawyer who knows how to use the information from your blood test to beat your DUI. Bringing a lawyer with you to court will vastly improve your odds of leaving the courtroom through the front door.

Re: DUI court date

You should have appeared in court as scheduled. Your failure to appear has no doubt resulted in bench warrant being issued for your arrest. The blood alcohol level of .07 only eliminates the driving with .08 or higher blood alcohol. It does not mean you were not driving under the influence. Retain an attorney immediately and take care of this situation.
