Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Failure

I failed to appear in court or show proof of my car registration renewal but date assigned. I moved out of residents stated on ticked and drivers license. I recently went back and there was a letter stating, as a result of your failure to appear, the court has placed a hold on my drivers license with the dmv. My bail amount was raised 250 dollars to the grand total of 706.00 and sent to the collection agency. If i fail to take care of the matter the dmv will suspend my driving privilege. I would like to know if there is a easier way of digging my way out of this hole i put myself in?

Re: Failure

Go to the court and request that the matter be placed on trial. Then explain the circumstances that caused you to miss the court date. Also be sure to take the proof of your insurance for the appropriate time with you.
