Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Who's at fault when entering an intersection with a green light.

This is a busy 3 lane North/South blvd; 2 lane East/West. I'm in the far right lane, stopped at the light heading southbound. The 1st and second lanes have high profile vehicles prohibiting a clear view to my left. The light turns green and I proceed into the intersection. Another vehicle from the East is racing through the intersection to beat the light and hits my vehicle. The impact was on the drivers side, front wheel/bumper. The other driver has no insurance. My insurance company says I'm 100% at fault. What is your assessment? Should I pursue legal council?

Re: Who's at fault when entering an intersection with a green light.

You are required to wait until an intersection is clear before entering, regardless of the light color. If the other drive was speeding or ran a red, he may be partially responsible.
