Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

I just got a speeding ticket. First one in 16 years. I plan to go to traffic school. On job applications when they asked if you've received any moving violations, can I answer "no" after I go to traffic school or will they STILL see it on my record? I know traffic school can erase 1 point, but can it erase the ticket all together...as if it never happened? Like will it show up on a background check?

Thanks

Wow. Harsh and thorough background check.

Completing traffic school dismisses the case against you. Under California law, employers cannot ask about criminal cases that did not lead to a conviction. In traffic school, most cases do not even involve the entry of a guilty plea of any sort you were simply referred to traffic school. I think you're safe by saying no to the convictions.

Does a dismissed traffic case because of traffic school still show up? Yes. Otherwise there would be no record and no way to know when you last attended traffic school.
