Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

My wife was pulled over for tint on the front windows. Okay, illegal we all agree. But the officers wrote the incorrect information on the ticket. (incorrect car description and license plate number) What should we do?

You need to realize that the Court tries to ignore minor errors. When you appear to contest the ticket because it is the wrong license plate number [how wrong?], the judge is going to ask did you get the ticket, was the windshield tinted--will your wife commit perjury or tell the truth? On the other hand, many traffic court commissioners state at the beginning of the session that if people plead guilty and can pay the money now, the fine will be cut in half. If one of you has the time, before your hearing date drop by to see how that commissioner handles it so that you can decide whether to pay the fine or go to the hearing in hope of having it reduced for pleading guilty.
