Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

my 18 year old suppodsely has a trust on her name by her great grand parents. her dad is being very difficult and does not want to tell her anything. How can she get information without having to go through her dad?

If her father is the trustee, she is going to have to communicate with him, or with his attorney. But it can be in writing (in fact that is better) if she is not comfortable talking to him. She should mail him a letter asking him to give her a copy of the terms of the trust, and a report on the administration (of course, have a lawyer do it would be better)
