Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

A debt owed by sibling to a parent's estate

My sibling borrowed a sum from my

now deceased parent in 2007. My

sibling has freely admitted -- in e-

mails I have from him -- the fact

that this was a loan.

My question is this: Does he still

owe this loan -- still unpaid -- to the

estate?

Re: A debt owed by sibling to a parent's estate

Was there any loan documentation, such as an agreement between your parents and sibling? Did your sibling provide any details about the terms in the email?

It is very posible that the money should be repaid to the estate or a credit for that amount should be given to your sibling.

We are currently handling a similar case and may be able to assist you with the provision of some additional information.
