deceased person's outstanding bills

If an unmarried adult person without assets dies with many bills to pay, do creditors go after siblings, cousins, domestic partnersetc. for payment of remaining bills?

If the registered domestic partner is to inherit, then your estate may be used to pay off the debt, depending on the nature of the estate plan. The same thing with spouses. Only your estate is liable, not the relatives, friends, or pets.
