Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

my family's living trust

My parents recently passed away and I need to know who I can talk to about either getting a copy of our family's Living Trust because the company who put the trust together no longer exist. Their name was Alliance for Mature Americans. My parents passed away in Europe and my sister should be going to the states to advise the proper authorities of their deaths. Is there anything I can do in the meantime? Kindly let me know. Sincerely

Re: my family's living trust

My research shows that it was sued by the attorney general (July 18, 1996) as a "trust mill" that used deceptive and scare tactics. Reports show that the State was awarded $200 million in damages. You may want to start by contacting the State's Attorney General to find out whatever information you can.

This was their business address:

1250 Aviation Ave

San Jose, CA 95110

Tel. (four-0-8) 294---two 3 seven 2

(Sorry, phone numbers are not allowed on Law Guru)

The corporation is dissolved, but this was their agent for process:

S. FRED ADAMS

24551 RAYMOND WAY, #275

LAKE FOREST, CA 92630

He may also know where the current records are being held.

Let me know if I can be of any other help! (This is why we trust and estate attorneys always recomend using an attorney and not a trust mill to have your estate plan drafted. They rarely know what they are talking about and use 'one size fits all' templates, which rarely accomplish what the client really wants or desires.
