Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

So I found out that the Minor's Compromise will be filed in the San Francisco Superior Court. Can you tell me how long that process will take and if there will be a court hearing that me and my son will have to attend?

You will have to attend with your son so that the judge can question both of you as to what remaining symptoms their are, need for further medical treatment, separate medical insurance that will cover any needed treatment, your understanding that the money is kept in trust and can not e released to, your son before he is 18 without a court order, etc. as to how long it will take, as I said before, contact the defense counsel and the court to see what they think the time period will be [when will the petition be ready, how soon after it is filed will there be a hearing date, etc.].
