Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My friend needs a limited/temporary power of attorney form to be able to drive my car on a military base. I can't find anything that specifies what I need. What kind of form should I be looking at? And how do I go about doing it?

You can give verbal permission to anyone to drive your car. Does the military require written approval? Power of attorney is the right to make certain decisions on behave of another person. It does not apply to driving a car. Re-check as to what the military actually requires. A power of atorney form merely needs to state that on X date I hereby grant to ____ the limited power of attorney to make for me and to represent me as to the following:

I accept x, dated in City, ca. Dated by your signature.

What you need to worry about is insurance coverage. Your policy at best covers people who sometimes drive you car with your permission, but not those who use the car on a full time basis, house the car where they live, etc. Contact your insurance carrier to see what the cheapest way to get coverage is.
