Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Mom left us as heirs to her living trust, What should I do now? And shouldn't a real estate person let you know ahead of time when the house you live in goes into probate so you can collect your personal belongings?

Assuming your mother has passed away, the trust appointed someone to be the trustee, who is in charge of administering the estate. Depending on the terms of the trust, the house can be sold or you might be left the house. You should take a look at the trust document.

If the house is going to be sold and the proceeds divided, you should get reasonable notice to vacate. You don't want to take the attitude of "let them evict me," because the cost of evicting you would eat into your portion of the inheritance.
