Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My mother passed away some three ago. Not knowing about wills I never got to view or had access to mothers last will and testament. my siblings (3)-half sisters (moms side) and one younger brother. from mom and dad just like me. Never heard anything , Brother was apparently the executor. My mother was a financial planner with insurances, and a estate as my brother finally termed. it. I want to see the will, my family is quiet about everything and I want to know if my mother left anything for me......what do i do?

You should have been notified of a probate proceeding. Check with the court clerk in the county in which she passed away to see if one was filed. If so, find a local lawyer and get ready to sue. If not, you can open one yourself, give notice to all potential heirs, and notice that any will must be submitted to probate. If they fail to do so, the court can order them fined or even jailed until the will is produced.
