Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

I suspect that my son was named in his grandmother's will when she died but after four months there has been no attempt to notify him. How does he find out whether he was named in the will or not?

If there is a will, whoever has it had a duty to file it with the court of the county where the grandmother lived, and it is then public record. If the will was probated, or if there is a trust, all beneficiaries should be sent notices.
