Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

If a name is on title and that person hasn't contributed to any expenses insurence, taxes, and passes away are their heirs rightfully entitled to 1/2 the estate ?

I agree with Mr. Roach. I can tell you, however, that if the title was held as "Joint Tenants" then the heirs get nothing. If it was held any other way, however, the heirs will get some significant portion of the property.
