Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

When transferring our assets to our revocable living trust (CA) we shortened the title of the trust to conform to small lines on various forms. Is this legal?

There may be some confusion in the minds of title officers down stream which could result in legal problems, yes, but it is done all the time for the very reason you state!
