I have been getting welfare assistance for many years. Now only getting media-Cal and $18.00 in food stamps a month. If I receive an inheritance, will it be taken away for payment from all those years I received assistance?

No. There's no reimbursement to Medi-Cal while you are alive, unless you receive benefits to which you were not entitled. The estate claim is after you die, for benefits paid after your 55th birthday and skilled nursing home benefits at any age.
