Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

No Will

My mother died without a will. My 3 siblings will not distribute her things. Her entire estate is worth less than $10,000. How can I get my share?

Re: No Will

This is a tough one because the estate is valued at under $100,000. You may need to file a Probate to get proper distrbution, but the cost is rather prohibitive considering the value of the estate.

Have you tried to contact your siblings in writing? This is probably the first step and the best way to record that you made an attempt to settle her estate.
