Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Wrapping up a family trust

I'm a beneficiary to an irrevocable

family trust that has been ongoing

for nearly five years. The trust is at a

point where it can and should be

wrapped up, however, the trustees

have thus far refused to wrap up and

distribute the trust's assets. As a

beneficiary, is there any way to

compel the trustees to wrap up and

distribute the assets of the trust?

Thank you.

If the trustees are not following the provisions of the trust, you can go to court to compel them to do so. (of course, first request in writing, then have a lawyer write a letter.)
