Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I was sent on disability on March 2009, State Disability was paying me benefits, around June 2009 Workers Comp sent me a letter saying they were debating my claim, after that I did not get an answer by them if they had approved my claim, State Disability kept paying me until March 2010 because they said my benefits had exhausted, now I do not get any benefits from either State or Workers Comp. My doctor released me to go back to work with restrictions but my employer said they had no work for me, and I found out by a co-worker that temporary employees were being hired to complete jobs, now I have no job and no kind of benefits. If I have a lawyer already can I go to another lawyer to see what can be done for my case or will that affect my case. Thank You.
