can i sue my lawyer for not settling mycase since he knew in 2004 that i needed rehabmcefore repeal of same

Your lawyer would not have known about a change in the law before the attorney for the insurance carrier would, so the defense attorney would not have added anything to the settlement for a cost he knew would not longer exist. Moreover, there is a one year statute of limitations [from when you or a reasonaable peson would have found out the facts that service as the basis for the malpractice] which has probably expired. Moreover, you would have a difficutl time showing what the case would have settled for an a jury would not like to award someone money because their attorney did not pull a fast one by taking advantage of the other side.
