Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Canada

Filing a claim against a company going bankrupt due to possible fraud

A company in San Diego was auctioning products over the internet. It recently filed for bankruptcy and I did not receive my product after sending them my money. At least 50 others are in the same position and the Secret Service is investigating the company for fraud, robbery, etc.

How do I find information on the bankruptcy proceedings (I live in Canada), how do I file as a creditor, and how will a criminal investigation affect all this?

If the company filed in San Diego, you need to find a bankruptcy attorney there who can pull the case file, get the information you need, file a proof of claim for you, etc.
