Legal Question in Immigration Law in Canada

I have a question on the stautory declaration paper. See I lived in america ilegaly for 16 years, and I just moved back to Toronto, Ontario Canada, and I have to fill the stautory declaratio paper out and i just want to know am I going to get in trouble with the goverment because I worked and lived ilegaly there in America for so long?
