Legal Question in International Law in Canada
international trade
we are a small business who did some trade with Japanese local company. in year 2005 we had pay half of the $ of the goods to the Japanese company. however never receive the goods. there for took 2 years to recover for the lost. we now would like to take a legal action towards the event, but with no clue of how to go about it. seemed to me it's very hard to find a international trade laywer

You really need a good local lawyer in British Columbia (at least, that's where you postal code says you are) since the first step would be to chase the local Japanese branch. Even if there is an additional party (a Japanese parent company) the action is primarily one of domestic Canadian law.
