Legal Question in Personal Injury in Canada

Do i have release my authorization

I was struck from behind and injured.3rd party insurance company is asking me to sign authorization/release forms for past 5 years health/medical records etc. Legally, am i obligated to provide them with this info?

You do not have to provide it but ultimately the insurer when it comes time for settlement will want to see your medical records.

We usually send the records at the end of the caase. I would not sign them, but that's my opinion.

Do you have legal counsel representing you with respect to your 3rd party claim? Our firm typically does not provide them with that info until after a law suit has been commenced and we do not provide them with 5 years pre-accident.
