Legal Question in Business Law in China

My partner and I are both citizens of the United States, however he lives in China. If something goes wrong do I have any legal protection? He has been in China, and plans to stay in China. If he was not willing to negotiate with me out of court would I be able to process claims against him? Where would I begin?

Sincerely

Dear sir,

If he was not willing to negotiate with me out of court would I be able to process claims against him? Where would I begin?

Yes, you can process claims against him both in Us and China.

If there was a Us judement, you can not ask the Chinese court acknowledge and enforce the Us judement, but you can sue him by the Us judement.

If there was a Us arbitration, you can ask the Chinese court acknowledge and enforce the Us arbitration.

Also, you can sue him directly in Chinese court.

Anything else about Chinese law matters you can directly email me by [email protected] .
