Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Colorado

Do I owe money for a Credit card I never signed up for that my deseased husband

I am being hounded by a credit card company. They say that I owe on a debt that my husband incured during the time we were married. I refused to sign on the credit card contract because all of the debt was being transfered from previous debts that my husband had. My husband has since died and now the credit card company says that I am responsible for the debt, how can this be?

This sounds like a complicated situation. The credit card company may argue you used the card or benefitted from it. However, I am assuming that they seek payment as a creditor of his estate. Payment of the debt is subject to the probate laws in your state.
