Legal Question in Education Law in Colorado

college admissions

Recently I applied to a prestigious private college in colorado. It's far and away my top choice, and they recieved all my admissions materials before the deadline, which I made sure of by calling and making sure they had the materials. A few months past, and I began to grow anxious that a great deal of time was passing, and so called to make sure nothing was amiss. It turns out that the director never received my letter requesting to be considered for admission, and so I was never considered. It should be noted that I had sent her many emails over the previous months expressing my intentions to apply. Within about a day, she mailed me back, stating that they had found my materials (I'm assuming they had been misplaced somehow) and would consider review my application and send a decision within a few days. I'm currently awaiting this decision, though not optimistically, considering the other admissions decisions have been made and mailed. What legal issues could arise if I am denied an acceptance, and what grounds do I have to fight on?

Re: college admissions

None, because nothing wrong has happened yet.

They've admitted they found the materials and they have told you you're under consideration. Why not just wait and see what happens?!
