If you were to receive child support, you would probably be able to pay for a second room. However, there is no law specifically requiring that the two have different rooms, but sometimes a judge can rule that it is inappropriate. This is why you need to seek counsel to help you through this. We are aggressive with helping collect child support and fighting for parental rights. The other side can always request a modification of the parenting time in order to try to reduce the amount of child support. Family law is way too complex to answer this question completely without knowing more details. Please feel free to contact us directly at 303-872-3249.
