Legal Question in Immigration Law in Colorado

My Boyfriend Fraudulently married
I'm gay and have been with a immigrant for just over 2yrs. He recently received a letter from INS saying he is out of status since 2005. He then told me he got married before we met to help him gain a resident greencard? His ''wife'' only used him to get money via blackmail but they still file joint taxes, but have never lived together. This being illegal, is there anyway I would get in trouble for ''harboring'' if he is found out with us living together? As I said, this is all new to me, and I'm shocked. I'm also torn by turning him in to authorities, but don't know where to begin. I have a child and don't want to risk my freedoms. He's always been very secretive about his immigration and now I know why. I could really use some advise on this one.

You will not get in trouble for not turning him in, unless you have committed actions to assist him in defrauding the government.
