How does copyright owner proceed to license large portions to newspapers

As a Franchise Attorney I can the following. I assume you are talking about a copyrighted article, novel, manuscript, etc. The usual way is to work through an agent who negotiates the terms with the newspaper. Or you can attempt to do it on your own. Consult with a good intellectual property or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
