landlord and harrassment

what can i do if i am renting a place and i havent had the rent paid in a couple months and the land lord harrasses me everytime im home and he goes as far as turning of the electricity. now hes loosing the house to forclosure and says i must get out he never even let me know it was in forclosure until after i found it was up for auction in the trustee sale part of the paper , how long do i have until i have to move and how can i make him stop tampering with the electricity . ihave never recieve a notice of eviction please help

The landlord could face penalties if he turned off the electricity to drive you out. It sounds as if, however, that the landlord just didn't have the money to pay the utilities because you didn't pay the rent. Once the property is foreclosed, the bank could issue you a 30- or 60-day notice and then file an unlawful detainer lawsuit against you. Of course, you could try to negotiate a new rental agreement with the bank. It might require you to come up with the back rent, though.
