Legal Question in Business Law in Connecticut

Question of contract breach...

I signed on to be the 4th veterinarian at a small animal practice in CT. I signed a 1 year contract in 1/06. Three months later, the other 2 associates had left and we were only 2. In June, we went up to 3 veterinarians again, but still not 4. Is this a breach of contract on the part of my employer and can I leave without giving the full 60 days he wants?

It depends on what the contract says - if the contact is silent on the issue of staffing you may be able to make such an arguement. I would be happy to look at the contract for you, doc.

It really depends on the language of the contract. If it was a material condition of your contract that there be at least 3 other docs, you might have a basis to terminate. Otherwise it depends on whether the fact that there have been less than the expected number of docs has resulted in additional work that was not contemplated in the contract.
