Re: Address & mail fraud

I had the same problem with one of my wards and was not allowed by the P.O. to change or block the Address. What I did was to return it to the post office with a note that they were unknown. If you know their address, you can give it back to the P.O. with their address, refuse of accept as they are not at that address. Meet with the postmaster and explain your problem. If it is not resolved at that meeting, keep returning the mail as "not at this address", refused as unknown addressee or return to sender, addressee unknown. I could take a long time, as it did to me, until I bounced back every piece of mail that was incorrect. Keep writing refused, addressee unknown, or wrong address-correct address is :, or some other phrase to inform the post master that it is not your mail. I would meet with the Post Master to see what he would recommend to resolve it , but it is not worth bring a suit agaist them as you haven't had any actual damages. Tom Noonan
