Legal Question in Criminal Law in Connecticut

imprisonment

A person I know is in prison and it states within the inmate info at CT dept. of corrections that her status is ''unsentenced'', detainer is ''none'' and date of sentence ''not applicable''. Does this imply that she got out of prison or that she is still there but awaiting sentencing? I do not know what it all means and what a detainer is in this context. I just wanted assurance that the person was still in prison is the bottom line.
