Legal Question in Environmental Law in Connecticut

have been sick for 10 years

i got hurt at work 10 years ago wich i was working in a place full of smoke from the machines and my health got so bad that until now im afraid to go even to shop groceries because all i could do is see myself trap in a store and i start panicking and have to get out as fast as i can..i like to know if after 10 years i could sue the company where i work so nobody else have to go through the same experience i did and im going through.....every day i cry and pray for me to become the same person i was before i went to work in that place.....if you can answer like to hear your advise,carmen

Ordinarily there is a 2-4 year statute of limitations in most states for filing a lawsuit for personal injuries. The time would run from the date you first knew that you had medical problems related to an exposure to harmful chemicals. If it has been 10 years since you were last exposed and first had problems it may be too late. I suggest you contact a personal injury lawyer in your area for a consult. Most PI lawyers work on a contingency fee basis and do not charge for an intitial consultation.
