Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

Child support and Emancipation

I have had sole custody of my children for the past 12 years. I had my youngest daughter emancipated at the age of 17 for personal reasons. I would like to know if my ex-husband (who didn't have her emancipated) still is obligated to pay child support for her until she turns 18?

Re: Child support and Emancipation

The answer is not clear and depends on several factors. What process did you use to have your child "emancipated?" Is your daughter living with you and are you supporting her? You should seek the advice of an attorney who has all of the facts.
