Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

Child Support & Second Job

I currently pay my ex-wife child support for our two children together. I am now remarried with another child. In order to meet my financial obligations I got another job. Does this income need to be calculated in my child support payment? I am working to makes ends meet and if my ex-wife can go after it, it doesn't make sense to work the second job.

Re: Child Support & Second Job

Child support in Conn is based on a maximum of 45 hours work per week. Anything you earn over 45 hours will not be included for child support (but may be included for alimony).
