Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

Debt & Child Support after re-marriage

My fiance currently has a lot of debt and I am paying child support from my previous marriage. My question is as follows: Once we are married, does her debt become my responsibility if something should happen to her or our marriage. On the other side of the coin, if something would happen to me ... would she be responsible to continue paying the child support?

Thank you.

Re: Debt & Child Support after re-marriage

No. Her debt is her debt. she is not responsible for paying child support to your previous wife at your death.
