Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

Finding legal aid

I am having trouble finding a lawyer to represent me in my custody battle.I have custody of my son and am currently not working. My mom is paying my expences until I work again.Because my mother makes so much,i am ineligible for a free lawyer, which doesnt make sense because its just me and my son.I cant afford one on my own.Id rather not go to court pro se.What should i do about getting a lawyer? The State says I shouldnt have a problem getting a lawyer, but the numbers they gave me to call, are the ones who say I cant have one because of household income. They arent sure who else I could contact either..Any suggestions?

My office accepts payment plans and other forms of payment. If you email me some more information about where the case is located and the facts I could help guide you in the right direction. My email address is [email protected].
