Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Connecticut

stolen property

My son had a cell phone stolen at his school and he knows who did it. A police officer stationed at the school and the superintendent even knows who did it but they say based on the technicality that no cell phones are allowed that that their hands are tied. All I want is the boys addresses so that I can persue this matter myself or for the parents to be notified so that maybe we can resolve this peaceably. How do I obtain an address of a person that I know has or had my stolen property?
