Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Connecticut

I am being sued for a credit card delinquency. I lost my job and paid less than the minimum payment.

I asked for smaller payments but this was not accepted and they have turned this over to a legal

firm. The total amount is 8906.10. I've called a couple of lawyers and the response was essentialy

to deal with it myself. My question is what is an Appearance form and what do I need to put on it.

Thank you for your assistance. John

If you are going to represent yourself you have to file an "Appearance." This is basically a form with your name and address on it. If you don't file it you won't be notified of the court date. You also should file an Answer to the Complaint. You can find these forms on the CT Judicial Branch website.
