Legal Question in Personal Injury in Connecticut

i had a nasty fall in 2008(dec) and i had gone to see a lawyer who recomended a chiropractor located in his office because i did damage to my shoulder and lower back. i suffer from anxiety so after getting sick in office a few times, i stopped going. eventually he dropped case. i am suffering with a back injury which has left me unable to walk even short distances without having to stop because of pain. also my left leg feels like an overstetched rubberband. i have spoken to my doctor to no avail. all this since that fall in the parking lot in my former residence. is it too late to do something legally? i am also unable to go upstairs or sit for long periods of time. can someone help me
