Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Connecticut

Easements

My neighbor has an easement to use my driveway. Are they leagally bound to share in the cost of maintaining the driveway. The original deed from 1970 never indicated anything specific.

Re: Easements

They have no obligation to share unless there is a maintenance agreement as part of the easement. Of course, you're not required to maintain it either. Go a few snowstorms where you park your car at the bottom of the driveway and don't plow, and maybe they'll see the light.
