Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Connecticut

parking fines at my condo

I have a condo w/one parking space.

One day i was told kids parked there

and I was given fines of $425.00.

When i objected, there was no

recourse. My attny said it's another

layer of law. What can I do now that

they have brought an attny in and

added their fees, so I have been billed

$2700.00 which I don't have. They

have threatened foreclosure/

What are my options?

Re: parking fines at my condo

First of all, how can a fine of $425.00 turn into a bill of $2700.00? Did they actually file the foreclosure action against you? If so, why did you let it go that long? If not, what did they do for $2300.00?

If "kids" parked in your space, how can you be fined. What if you gave them permission or anyone else for that matter? You own the space.

What does your lawyer mean that "it's another layer of law?"

I can't answer this question based upon the facts as you present them. You need to get a consultation with a lawyer.
