Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Connecticut

tenant problem

Hi!

I am a landlord who has a tenant who hasn't paid rent since December. He is vindictive and is ruining the property and threatens to call the police if we enter the apartment. Today he said he is moving maybe March 1st, or whenever he feels like it. He also said he will not be giving us any of his current or back rent that is owed. What do I do to get him out and get our money?

Thank you.

Re: tenant problem

First, you would have to start the eviction process. Next, after he has been evicted, you can file a civil claim against him for the rent he owes you.

If you want, you can contact me at [email protected] and I can help.
