Legal Question in Traffic Law in Connecticut

Car Accident

I was in a car accident on april 16, in this accident I was attempting to make a left turn in a one lane road when someone from behind me tried passing me up as I was turning and ended up side swiping me. The officer on the scene told me he would be listing her at fault on the report. Several weeks go by and although he didnt outright say she was at fault on the report he did say the contributing factor to the accident was that she was in the wrong lane, keep in mind this is a one lane road wich means she crossed a double yellow lane into oncoming traffic to pass me up. Now whats tying this up with her insurance company paying for my damages is she was trying to say I was double parked and making a U turn. Now if I had been double parked there would of been no room left in the road she still crossed double yellow lines to pass me up and that still makes her negligent and also how would she know I was making a uturn if I was double ''parked'' the damage on the cars clearly shows she was at fault my front drivers side tire and fender and the exact same damage almost to her front passenger side. So her insurance company keeps throwin me a loop and Im afraid they are gonna try and tell me its a word vs word what can I do?

Re: Car Accident

You might have to bring a lawsuit against the other driver. You could even do this in small claims if the amount is small enough. Was anyone injured?
