Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut

Trust fund age is met, how long a wait for funds?

My trust fund is to be distributed in full when I reach 35 years old (which is this week.) I am the youngest child, so there will be no dividing of the estate, as this was already done when my brother turned 35 about 4 years ago.. It seemed to take the lawyers/accountants years to distribute to him however. Probate is over as my father died 6 years ago. I am worried that this will be stretched out and the fees will pile up. Plus I want to get out from under my high interest debt. What are my rights to a speedy distribution of my inheritance?

Based upon what you have said,(and keeping in mind that I have not seen the will or trust document)I don't see why you cannot receive the final distribution from the trust within the month. The only trust business at hand would be for the trustee to pay all of the expenses, including trustee's and possibly attorney's and/or accountant's fees.

If you do not receive a distribution within the month, I would suggest that you consult with an attorney to investigate.
