Legal Question in Workers Comp in Connecticut

work injury

It's been 6 weeks since I've injured myself at work. I've seen the Workers Comp doctors and no one has determined what what wrong. I'm in pain, so I went to my regular physician. He says I need an MRI, but he can't order it because it's a workers comp claim. How can I get the workers comp insurance to approve an MRI so I can get the help I need. I'm having a hard time working in this condition.

Re: work injury

You need to request a hearing with the WCC and have a treating physician appointed other than the corp care group. You need a private physician to advocate for what he or she feels you need to be adequately treated. Feel free to call any time for a free consultation. I am board certified in Worker's Compensation law in Connecticut.

Good luck

Jim
