Legal Question in Criminal Law in Delaware

federal investigation

A friend call me for some advice being that me and him used to be in the same business. Im retired. But a week ago he was followed by two undercover cars for about 10 minutes. Which led to him being pulled over by a state trooper. But all the state trooper wanted was his info. Name, address ect. A week later he got a call from the local Fbi office. But come to find out they had the wrong number. The guy left a voicemail saying ''this is pastor so and so'' and was looking for a guy name B***. The crazy part is, is that this is my friends name. But when my friend returned the call the guy gave different last name then my friends. I told him not to worry. because if the fbi wanted you they wouldnt call from the direct line from the field office. I told him he probably had local heat. Because if it was federal you won't know until its to late. Feds a not that sloopy. So I told him it was just a coincidence.

Advice?
